LET’S FINISH STRONG Why do we always slow down in the last Quarter?
I have spoken to many business owners in the past couple of weeks about the fact that the beginning of the 4th quarter is next week. Their reaction is 100%, “wow where has 2023 gone?” It snuck up on us and we most likely didn’t get to all that we planned on. Oh well, it might be too late now but we can finish strong and not stop progress toward meeting your goals. If you are in sales, keep pushing for closed business and position yourself for a strong start to the new year.
I love the holidays that start in mid-November and last until January 2nd. However, I have been in Sales for over 40 years and I still don’t like that my prospects check out, hold off until next year, and in some cases they stop working. You can’t control what your prospects do but you can use this time of year to position yourself for a strong start to the New Year. Yes, continue to move those engaged prospects that may close and maybe even close in the new year but, there is only so much you can do, so begin planning for the New Year.
Take time to evaluate what has worked in the past and what has not. Address some changes in your market and see how you can put the pieces in place now so you are ready when January 2nd arrives. Getting a fast start is so important and it will give you an advantage when people get back to work after the upcoming holidays. Take some time to think about and plan for how you are going to start 2024 strong.
